Alpine and subalpine, talus, scree slopes, slides, cliffs; often on limestone.

Distribution ²

Yukon: Southwest Yukon; known only from Kluane National Park
North America: Western Canada, Alaska, Rocky Mountains.
World: North America

Distinguishing Features ²

Draba ventosa is separated from D. ruaxes by long-stalked stellate hairs on both leaf surfaces and by fruits with simple and star-shaped hairs. Styles 1.0- 1.25 mm.
