The Common Roadside Skipper, with a wingspan of 21 - 32 mm, can be found across most of the United States and Southern Canada with scattered populations west of the Rockies. Adults fly from March through July preferring woodland openings and edges as well as stream sides. Larvae feed on grasses while adults take nectar, especially from low growing blue flowers.
