The Silver-Spotted Skipper (wingspan: 43 - 67 mm) can be found in fields, gardens, and forest edges across southern Canada and throughout most of the United States. Caterpillars feed on a variety of woody and select herbaceous legumes. Adults prefer to gather nectar from blue, red, pink and purple flowers.
