The Nevada Skipper (wingspan 25 - 37 mm) can be found occupying forest edges, alpine slopes, and high meadows in western North America from Canada to Arizona and New Mexico. The larvae host plants include western needlegrass and squirrel-tail grass. Adults fly from May to August, feeding on flower nectar. Males patrol hilltops.
