The Woodland Skipper is native to western Canada and the United States from British Columbia to California east to Saskatchewan and New Mexico. The wingspan ranges from 25 - 32 mm. The Woodland Skipper prefers open areas, adults flying from June to September in the North. Larvae feed on grasses while adults take nectar.
