Summary 2

The Grizzled Skipper is a holarctic species with a North American population from Central Ontario and Northern Michigan west to Alaska and south in the Rocky Mountains to Northern New Mexico. With a wingspan of 25 - 33 mm, they can be found in open areas near woods. Larvae feed on cinquefoil, wild strawberry and cloudberry, while adults prefer nectar from low growing plants including blueberry, strawberry and cinquefoil.
