Summary 2

This invasive species was introduced from Eurasia to Onatario, Canada in 1910 and is spreading across North America. Populations are concentrated in southeast Canada and northeast United States through the Great Lake Region with scattered occurrences throughout the west, possibly spread by shipments of egg infested hay. Larvae are considered a pest on timothy grass. Adults fly from mid May to August, gathering nectar from a variety of low growing flowers.
