The Field Crescent (wingspan 28 - 45 mm) is one of the most common Crescents in the western mountains, from Alaska and the Northwest Territories to Mexico. It can be found in a variety of habitats including meadows, forest clearings, and alpine meadows. Caterpillars feed upon asters. In the mountains, adults fly from June to August.
