Erythrina coralloides, colorín, es una especie de árbol ornamental,,de hoja caducifolia, debido a sus flores rojas y blancas en grupos, y mezcladas. Las flores son también alimento. Es nativa de Norteamérica: México, EE. UU., y de Centroamérica.
