Anthurium lingua

Anthurium lingua is a species of plant in the Araceae family. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Colombia; Ecuador; Peru.
It is well represented in the protected area network in the region, with subpopulations found in the Sangay National Park and World Heritage Site, Podocarpus National Park, Machalila National Park and Ramsar Site and Antisana Ecological Reserve in Ecuador. It is also found in several private reserves including the Finca Merenberg in Colombia, Bosque de Proteccion Alto Mayo in Peru and the Loma Alta Comunal Ecological Reserve.

Terrestrial and epiphytic herb

Habitat Type 3

Moist Andean forest, found at an elevational range of 500 to 2,800 m asl. It has been collected from virgin and disturbed forest, and less commonly from drier shrub forest and rocky cliff faces. It is found across eight ecoregions, the majority of populations are within the Eastern Cordillera real montane forests.
