Agama anchietae

Diagnosis 3

Head scales keeled (mostly), versus smooth or slightly convex in Agama atra .
Occipital enlarged, unlike Acanthocercus atricollis (Figure 1).
Median rows of dorsal scales enlarged and forming longitudinal rows (distinct from other species except Agama armata & A. hispida ).
Ear margins without spines (neither anterior or inferior), unlike in Agama atra & A. hispida.
Ventrals smaller than dorsals (distinct from other species?)
Ventrals moderately keeled, versus smooth in Acanthocercus atricollis, Agama atra and A. aculeata .
Third finger and toe longer than the fourth, versus fourth being longest in Agama atra .
Caudal scales larger than dorsals, not distinct from Acanthocercus atricollis, Agama atra & A. aculeata .
