● Foraging on the ground on coastal shrub land strand near Kealia Pond Coastal Boardwalk
● Perched on snags at edge of the wetland
● Flying above the canopy of shrub land forests

Bird Facts 2

● Introduced to Hawaii in 1855 by Chinese immigrants as a food source
● Sometimes called banquet doves
