Aurelia coerulea

Notes 2

Aurelia coreulea is an introduced species native to the Northwestern Pacific (from Japan and Korea and possibly Northern China). This species can be rather difficult to identify due to the minute differences between cryptic species. Although it's ecological effects are unconfirmed in this geographical context, the species has been cited as a cause for pump blockage in a power plant in South Korea.
