Summary 2

The Anise Swallowtail butterfly (wingspan 67 - 90 mm) ranges from British Columbia to the Black Hills and eastern front of the Rocky Mountains, south to Baja California. They utilize a wide variety of open areas from the valleys to alpine mountain tops. Caterpillars feed upon many species in the parsley family as well as citrus. Adults fly from April through July.
