Kuhl’s pipistrelle is a small bat. The male is slightly smaller than the female. Body varies in color according to habitats. The fur is dense, fine and short, very variable in color from light brown to reddish brown on the upperparts, darker than desert pipistrelle. The underpart white. Hairs on the ventral side with white tips and black bases while on the dorsal side with buff-tipped and deep-black bases. Hairless parts of skin vary in color from dark brown to black. Ears long, the upper edge is narrow and the front margin nearly erect. Tragus long and thin. Antitragus developed and separated from the hind edge by a deep notch. Tail long, surrounded by membrane except for last vertebra that projects beyond. The wing membranes are dark brown to black, with a characteristic well-defined white stripe run along the margin of arm wing membrane, especially between fifth finger and hind foot.
