Length 50-58mm; Wingspan 76-86mm.
Along with long skimmer, the largest of our skimmers. Does not taper at the waist like long skimmer and mature ♂︎ pruinose blue (not dark).
♀ and imm ♂︎ are greenish olive and not yellow. The ridge of the metepimeral ridge is unmarked.
