Trithemis donaldsoni is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae. Common names include denim dropwing and Donaldson’s dropwing.

Salient Features 4

Length 38-44mm; Wingspan 67-71mm
Largest of the blue Trithemis.
♂︎ is lighter blue with the last segments of the abdomen darker, and has a mustard not yellow face when compared with highland and navy dropwing.
♀ and imm♂︎ are yellow/olive with a black-lattice like patterning on the abdomen and black wavy lines on the thorax surronding yellow blotching.
