Description 2

Ground color varies from white to cream yellow. The dorsum bears numerous nearly spherical, spiculate, pedunculate tubercles. Rhinophores with 6-11 lamellae, colored as dorsum. Branchial plumes 6-18, unipinnate, colored as dorsum. Labial tentacles triangular.

Size 2

Up to 14mm in length.

Geographic Range 2

Kyska, AK, to Estero de Coyote, Baja California, Mexico; east coast of North America; Europe.

Notes 2

Found in the low, rocky intertidal, and subtidal to 126 meters. Preys upon several species of bryozoan, on the Pacific coast it as been found under rocks where it preys upon the bryozoans: Eurystomella bilabiata, Microporella cribosa, Nolella stipitata, and Reginella mucronata.
