Wangkuntila-Aldinga Conservation Park
The park is going to be called as Wangkuntila-Aldinga Conservation Park after a proclamation on August 28, 2025. The park's significant spiritual and cultural value to the Kaurna people is reflected in its co-naming as Wangkuntila-Aldinga Conservation Park, meaning ‘place of ring-tailed possum’. Five more Crown Land parcels at the Washpool Lagoon have been added to the park. With this inclusion, the culturally significant Blue Lagoon and the entirety of Aldinga Washpool will be legally protected.
