I just finished sorting and labeling almost all the shells in my collection. I've gotten down to the species I only have one or two of or that I don't know how to identify (mostly of micros of course). I thought I'd share this in case it helps give anyone ideas for displaying their own collection rather than just storing the shells it in glass vases, buckets, drawers, and dixie cups like I have been. I'll link the containers I bought in case you want to do the same but some of them may no longer be available. In the picture below, top two shelves are for bivalves, bottom one is for gastropods. There's roughly 300 species in total.

I have five sizes of jars: 0.3 oz, 1.2 oz, 6 oz, 16 oz, 48 oz. Some species I have in all sizes from juvenile to adult so have stored in all five jars (like the Giant Atlantic Cockle), others I can't find many juveniles of like the Stiff Pen Shell so only have them in the largest jars.

I keep most all my shells in three bookshelves (I also keep my bug collection there) so there's lots more I didn't include (fossil shells, Italian shells, non-mollusk beachfinds) but they're not really finished enough to show and besides are mixed with huge trays of unsorted shells. There's always more work to do, but I felt the bivalves and gastropods were good enough to share. I wish I could get a better quality pictures so you could read the labels, but even my Cannon isn't cutting it so this will have to do for now.
