Ourebia ourebi ourebi was introduced, or possibly reintroduced, to Tongaland, as opposed to having survived there.

Bantu people probably exterminated Ourebia from Maputaland before Europeans had a chance to do so.

My commentary: I now see that it is possible that, if Ourebia was originally present on the coastal plain in Maputaland/Tongaland, this was O. montana, not O. ourebi. If so, the northern species may actually have extended to just within South Africa, as opposed to having its limits in southern Mozambique.
