Ticks at Red Rock Canyon

I was surprised to learn that we had ticks at Red Rock Canyon NCA. One of our naturalists came back from a hike with one. The hike was not at higher elevations (ticks are known at Mt. Charleston in the Spring Mtns), but at desert floor level. Also a factor were some warm days (70 degrees) at the end of January - beginning of February.
