I think this is some sort of Lichen but I am really not sure. It was found on a broken branch near the New River in 65 degree weather at about 4:00pm. It was about 6 inches in length and a greenish gray in color.

Description

Found this guy on my walk today! He was sunbathing in about 64 degree Fahrenheit weather on top of an old tree. Tried to get closer to it but I scared it off before I could! I think it's an Eastern Ribbonsnake. I was not able to get an accurate look at the length because it disappeared before I could. It looked to be only about an inch in thickness. It appears to be black and a tannish/yellow striped reptile.
