One of the most interesting and brutal insect observations I've ever had... 3 large individuals, 2 alive and one dead. The dead is being eaten by another and I believe the third is attempting to mate with the one that's cannibalizing the other. I stayed with the group for 30 minutes and (she?) consumed all but the head and some wing parts of the dead individual. Nobody seemed particularly interested in my presence. We observed 6 individuals this outing (3 in addition to those pictured).
