I found this in my hair/behind my ear a day after running my bird banding station. I usually notice flat flies when I'm banding as they often land on me, but I didn't notice any, and was pretty horrified to find this on me a day later. I don't know if it's my blood, and I thought this species didn't use birds as hosts. It certainly looks somewhat different to what I've seen on birds (the wings fell off when I grabbed it and squished it).
