Fairly certain this is a hover fly of some sort...exactly which species, I'm not quite sure. Had a very fat abdomen and bright yellow stripes, like brighter than your everyday hover fly/bee imitation.

Possibly my all-time favorite backyard visitor!! I named him Goober for his love of peanuts (SpongeBob Movie fans will understand lol). He has a black eyeliner streak only on one side of his face, and he loves to store his treats in nearby garage gutters and tree nooks. Love him 🖤🖤
