Can anyone confirm my identification of this beautiful tree? When it’s out in leaf in the summer, the leaves shimmer in the breeze similar to a quaking aspen, and it looks amazing. Right now in early spring, the buds are just coming out, and it’s in flower — and while the flowers are not spectacular, I thought the images of the florets might help with a positive ID. The bark is white and more smooth on the upper, younger limbs, but rough, thick, and gray–brown on the trunk. Thanks!
