Russula pectinatoides Peck found in Charlotte NC with grass, Quercus, Lagerstroemia, Acer, Carya trees. Green corn sent, no flavor, stipe bruises light brown, KOH negative, cream to light yellow-orange spore color in mass, tuberculate-stirate margin, spores (amyloid) are elliptical 5.5-9 x 4.5-6 µ with warts up to 1 µ high, and sparse nearly absent connectors.
