This Bumble Bee was one of five or six visiting a large-flowered, non-native azalea. I don't recall seeing bees visit these shrubs before.

This looks more brown and muted in color than the usual Eastern Towhee and the divisions between color sections not so sharp. He or she is about the size of an Eastern Towhee though. Spotted visiting a water feature and later perching in a gardenia.

Not cultivated. Alas, I brought some Common Vetch with some blue wildflowers from the side of the road over 30 years ago. I've been weeding them out ever since. These develop small pea-like pods that turn black and spew tiny seeds. It's beautiful but will overrun cultivated plants.
