Description

We found this planktonic creature floating. It ate a piece of a squid mantle when put in the same bucket with our bait. What is it!!!! We are thinking a type of mollusc as the mouth seemed and moved like an elongated radula, and there are spots resembling photoreceptors.

Can anybody ID this pigeon? I have never seen it on Catalina before! It had white, green, and red bands on both legs but I couldn’t read numbers.

Description

Found on the root of my ~5 week old pie pumpkin plant. The leaves had yellow and white spots on them and the plant was dying, only produced 1 flower which quickly died. I’m wondering what the cause is of all of the “nodules” growing on the stem, if it’s a fungus, virus, or something else. My plants do always have ants on them but other pumpkin plants in the same garden bed are healthy, producing flowers and the starts of pumpkins. My basil plant in the same garden bed has similar bumps on its trunk and larger branches and is also dying. When I popped one of the lighter color bumps it oozed a puss-like substance, but the darker bumps when popped released a white powdery substance.
