I found this crustose lichen up at browns creek and keyed it out by looking at the apothecia under a compound microscope, there may be several species of crust growing together here, but the white/orangy apothecia, i believe is ochrolecia...let me know if u think otherwise.

I found this Phaeolus schwinitzii growing out of humus soil on the forest floor beneathe an old growth canopy of Douglas fir, Hemlock, Cedar, and Vine maple trees up near Brown's Creek, in the Skokomish valley, here in lovely western WA! I'd love to learn how to make a dye out of it!
