Appx 20 mm long depending on how "stretched" it was.
A small pale tip at the leading end.
Used the tip as a periscope, sometimes lifting a third of the body of the ground, I guess somehow senseing it's environment.

Description

This was the first "fine" day after a week of rain.
These little spiders had decided to make a break for it.
There were many thousands climbing the rushes figting over the highest point and balloning of on new adventures.
Everywhere you looked the rushes etc were covered in spider silk and spiderlings.
It's almost as if 2 species are involved, the dark ones as in the first image and the lighter brown ones.
The lighter ones look like Brown Wolf Spider, Allotrochosina schauinslandi to me.
One the east side of the Central Willows there was a higher percentage of dark ones, on the western side more light ones.
