Monarch (Danaus plexippus)Observer
ikewinskiDescription
Last year I saw just one monarch here, and it was dead by the time I observed it. This year I spotted two at the same time. There's plenty of milkweed in our yard so I hope they were a breeding pair and I'll be able to post photos of larva some day.

Bobcat (Lynx rufus)Observer
ikewinskiDescription
This bobcat walked the back perimeter of my house and then hunted mice in the front yard. There was snow on parts of the ground that provided cover for the mice, but the bobcat could hear them and pounced. I was lucky to get such a close shot because it walked right under the window of my bedroom. Had the wall not been there I could have reached down and touched it.
