Description

My partner and I noticed something running on the ice of Lake Mendota from our home on Woodward Drive. It was running at a moderate pace, traveling diagonally, as if a line was drawn from Picnic Point to the 900 block of Woodward Drive. As it got closer, we noticed it was smaller than a dog and had a bushy tail and we recognized it as a Red Fox.

Description

I was driving east on Woodward Drive when I noticed an animal walking from the yard on the left (north) and it stopped in the street. It was about 15 feet away and I identified it as a red fox. The body looked good and the fur on the head looked a little disheveled. It squatted and defecated. Then it trotted off to a yard on the right (south).
