Description

Found on the path through the forest in Lettuce Lake Park. It would flee with each step I took to later settle back down on the path or the nearby shrubbery. Both the green female (or young male) and blue male variants are pictured. Weather was clear with light winds and a temperature of around 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

Description

Photo was taken at 9:30am during sunny weather with a temperature of about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Photo was taken on a milkweed plant outside my house. The caterpillar was feeding on the plant.

This is likely a Monarch Caterpillar given that it was feeding on the milkweed, their only food source according to Save Our Monarchs (https://www.saveourmonarchs.org/why-milkweed.html).
