On fallen oak log. Small caps 1/2" across, in clusters. Dye with alum on wool was light gold. (Sorry about the photo--I forgot to take a photo in the woods, and had to pull the mushrooms out of the dye soaking water to take the photo, the colors had definitely changed, the stem no longer being straw yellow, and the gills no longer stained purple by the spores.)

On fallen log in mixed conifer/oak forest. Oldest cap on top is grayish, younger caps off-white with ocher-tinted edges. Guttation from caps. My guess with the grayish cap is Postia tephroleuca, but the guttation suggests P. stiptica, now Amaropostia stiptica.
