A glossy shrub, quite large in size and grew in a bush/hedge formation. It has rich green foliage and extremely fragrant flowers. It’s flowers are a creamy white colour with yellow pollen spores on the inside. Some flowers were still in seeds and yet to bloom.

Typical Shield Lichens (Subfamily Parmelioideae)Observer

This was found growing on the trunk of a red wattle tree, and covered pretty much 90% of the trunk. It had different variations of shades and sizes but most them dawned a green/turquoise/yellow colour and grew together in leaf like clusters. It edges were folded and it was stuck to the tree. Most of them were medium/small in size, but there were extremely large clusters also.

Fairly large in diameter, taking up most of the space around it and growing into other plants. Spiky turquoise/minty coloured leaves with spikes outlaying the edges of each leaf. They all had little buds growing out of the middle of each plant, that hold red/orange/yellow flowers when in full bloom.

This medium size, woody shrub is growing new flowers/seeds that are fairly large in size, mustard/yellow in colour, and have little spines or leaves covering it. The leaves on this shrub are a deep to medium green colour, fairly prickly, and thin like needles. They grow around the new seeds/flowers.

The leaves on this Japanese maple are slightly wilted as it heads into cooler weather, some of them even dying off, while the others remain quite green (they also turn a deep red colour). Medium size tree that spans out quite wide with bunches of leaves that have fine detailing, making them stand out against other trees. Fairly thin branches with no flowers.

This appears to be a baby orbweaver, was making a small web. It had a distinct white abdomen with brown and black patterns down the back of it. It was brown in colour and fairly small.

Black House Spider (Badumna insignis)Observer

Black house spider along the gutter outside, many others were also lined up, waiting for the moths to fly into their webs. On the smaller side, but bigger compared to the other spiders around. All black, with patterning on its abdomen. It had fairly large palps that it displayed when it’s web had been disturbed.

This moth, appearing to be of genus Oxycanus, is fairly neutral in colours, with mainly beiges, browns, greys and yellows. It has long rimmed antennas and was small but bigger in comparison to other moths flying around at the time. It has little ‘fur like’ hairs around it’s head and spots on its wings.

Pink-tongued Skink (Cyclodomorphus gerrardii)Observer

This pink tongue skink was found sunbathing on the roads of a garden bed, it had distinct black and off white stripes on its whole body. It had visible scales covering its body, with short legs and long toes. It was fairly small in size and had limited activity, but when it finally moved it was extremely quick.

Eastern Water Dragon (Intellagama lesueurii ssp. lesueurii)Observer

This Australian Water Dragon was found wondering through the garden. It had a red belly, with beige and black on the rest of its body, with spikes running down its back. It had a black band running from its eyes down to the rest of the body and had an almost puffy throat. It remained statue like for most of the time and was quite large in size.
