10:30 pm took small 12 pound dog for walk. Came across fox coming from corner of building behind us at about 30 feet. It stopped and we watched each other for several minutes. When I waved my arm at it, it retreated about 5 feet in to the tree bed. When we resumed walking it shadowed us on the entire walk. Stopped when we stopped. Started when we started, always about 20 yards away. Continued following us crossing street behind us when we crossed, stopping and starting mirroring our movements. Whole event was probably 15 minutes until we returned to our house.
