We observed this "wasp" constructing this nest in the last week with the young leaving the hive, consecutively, several days after construction of each unit. The wasp was very skittish and so we could not photograph it but very distinctive yellow and black. A sticky residue was left outside of the hive

This is the second sighting near the vlei. There were 7 of them. Distinctive white underpart and flashes of white underside of tail when running. 3rd sighting 2 weeks ago crossing road at Olifantsbos. Are these newly introduced to the park?
