Very small and slow-moving ants, which started visiting our sink about two weeks ago. We’ve never previously seen any other ant species in the 20 years at this residence other than Argentine ant. This appears visually and behaviorally similar to the small ants usually seen in kitchens when in Central and South America.

No photo, unfortunately. My wife yelled for me to come out as there was a snake. I only saw the tail. Clearly a Striped Racer. It disappeared into the shrubs and we spent 15 minutes looking for it, but couldn’t refind it.
