This bird was easily distinguishable due to it's bright blue feathers. This blue bird is only found here in California( hence the name), and you can usually see them everywhere around cities and towns.

On this day that I visited the field site, I noticed that most of the butterflies was already been born. The scenery was beautiful on a bright sunny afternoon with dozens of butterflies flying around. I was able to distinguish these butterflies with my Biology Professor.

mariareynoso97Description
Observed a herd a black-tailed deer at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. They seemed to just be grazing around the meadow and eating grass. I also noticed a few smaller deer, that could have been younger deer.

What
Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos)Observer
mariareynoso97Description
I saw a pair of Mallard ( a male and female) swimming alongside the riverside. What was particular about this pair was that this was the only pair of Mallards around, and they didn't seem to be afraid of humans coming into close contact with them.
