What
Common Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda)Observer
mediaspideaDescription
A small female individual measuring approximately 25-35mm in total length.
Possibility this is the same individual as one seen at the same location a few days earlier as the species, size, and approx depth (22) are all similar to the earlier observation : http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/1343920
However confirming the likelihood that this observation is of the same individual was not possible so separate observation created.

Seen in very shallow waters (20-30cm depth) a small group of cowries seen crawling on sandy bottom during calm waters. Size approx 3-4 cm in length. Mantle fully extended, images show one individual with mantle semi-extended showing shell.
Narrowed down to possible E. erosa or perhaps more likely E. boivinii. A definitive identification would be extremely useful.
