African HerbsObserver
nicaveliDescription
Nature is kind, accommodating, and caring. Wild harvesting, is often viewed as preferable by the healers due to the belief that the herbs are better quality and indeed traditional healing has played a major role in eradicating many stubborn diseases in the African continent.

African Pied Wagtail (Motacilla aguimp)Observer
nicaveliDescription
Likes hovering I homesteads and thatched roof-tops, they have s striking black and white wagtail with black upperparts contrasting with white underparts, and a white patch in the folded wing. Juvenile birds are greyer, while birds of the nominate subspecies show grey flanks.
I have always wondered why!!! But I have seen a good number of them with missing or deformed toes. If you are not careful you wont notice the limp but the ones with this deformities actually limp.

Lilac-breasted Roller (Coracias caudatus)Observer
nicaveliDescription
The lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus) belongs to the roller family of birds and can be found in sub-Saharan Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Its habitat are savannahs and open woodlands, but it cannot be found in treeless areas.
What stands out most about the lilac-breasted roller is by far its colour. It has a greenish head, lilac throat and breast, a blue belly and even brighter wing feathers. Both males and females have the same colouration.
