I’m not convinced this is a bald cypress but didn’t see any suggestions that were better. What do you think this is? I didn’t see any of what I call knobby knees. There was more than one and they were by a pond. Lots of stem debris on the ground. Could it be a willow of some sort?

These tiny birds were very high in the trees. Very cute. At some angles they look chubby. Their tails look short compared to average birds. Notice the funny crook on their beaks. Are they Northern Flickers, Downy Woodpeckers, or both? They are hanging out mostly on dead wood branches.
