Description

This species is incredibly abundant in the coralline algae that we sampled at a minus low tide.

This species is easily recognized by its tiny size (around 1 mm) and the "shelf" around the lip of the aperture.

This looks like a Lasaeid but I can't match it to any species in Coan, Scott and Bernard (2000). A juvenile Kellia suborbicularis, perhaps?

This one was a bit of a puzzler as it is a bit large for this species (I'm guessing around 16 mm) and the color pattern is unusual. But, McLean (1978) says of C. keepiana,

"often with a mottled pattern, occasionally with diagonal markings."

We saw a few with this color pattern that afternoon.
