Periwinkles (Genus Vinca)

Observer

rose_richard_3

Date

April 30, 2012

Description

This is a plant that I saw at Austin Creek, well, it's more like a flower. It had about 4-5 petals on each flower, these flowers are purple with a faded white ring around the center of the flower. These flowers also shared a stem with green leaves that came to a rounded tip, with mini veins branching out from a main, center vein.

Description

It's a plant that I found at Austin Creek, in Santa Rosa, CA. I don't know what it's called, but it's got a light green stem, as well as these spikey things that I think were leaves, they did have many spikes though.
