On erratic which seemed odd but over thin humus; leaves incubous where leaf density higher (image 2); various shots of underleaves shown which seemed odd for BAZ TRI; Not sure if I'm seeing naked stems due to caducous leaves or flagellae. Don't recall seeing shoots of BAZ TRI with leaves spaced out like this... perhaps not BAZ!
Mid leaf cells length 20.0 to 37.5 (n=10, median 31.3, X 30.1) and width 17.5 to 28.8 (median 22.5, X 22.7)… within range for trilobata - FNA.

1-15-21---7 THOC; finally! Switched it up and focussed on Thuja bark in a rich conifer swamp. F. asagrayana (S3) vs. F. selwyniana (S1)... our only two species with a row of ocelli (modified cells w oil bodies) on some leaves. Styli w appendages (e.g., image 2) thus the former (FNA). Also due to large under leaves, much wider than stem (Janssens and Greenlee 2009). Nice to finally find a specimen but in the process have found how common F. bolanderi (S2) is in the area.
