Description

This Damselfly was much more beautiful than it appears here. Had to shoot under some harsh conditions. Sorry. But it was such a beauty! Looked like a white fairy to me. Those semi-transparent, glossy, white wings were shining like a silk! I don't have any idea of its ID. This was one of the most beautiful Damselflies that i have seen yet... extremely eager to know its ID.

Is it a female of Vivid Dancer damselfly (Argia vivida)?

Pls help!

Description

am giving here a collage of three shots, so that the insect can be viewed from different angles.

i found this insect in the Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary, Kolkata.

that gorgeous orange was glowing under Sun!

i think this bug belongs to 'Largidae' family. but not sure about its ID. species?

'Antilochus coqueberti' could be a possibility. but three dissimilarities are there.

(i) Antilochus coqueberti bugs have got black eyes, whereas, this one has got red eyes.
(ii) Antilochus coqueberti bugs have got red/ coloured abdomen, but this one has got white.
(iii) The legs of Antilochus coqueberti bugs are red-black OR orange-black... i.e., bi-coloured. But this one has got black legs.

then, what is this?
looking forward for it's correct ID.
