Fallen fully ripe fruit is dark purple and wrinkly, with purple brown flesh.
Fruit is also very small, to the point that the person who originally drew my attention to this believed it was a form of grape.

Fledgling. It spent half a day flying out into the trees and then back onto the porch, eventually went from the trees to the roof. It was extremely hot today and several times it actually parked itself directly outside a window where we had a fan blowing.
