There are so many fat iguanas around the marina in Puerto Vallarta. This one was a large blackish male sunning himself by the water.

It started raining really hard and we had to rush to check the nets and close them. A little bit soaked, but no worse for the wear.

A mixed colony of Pteropus alecto and Acerodon celebensis are on this mangrove island, but I could only get a shot of the Pteropus because the mangrove trees make it hard to photograph the lower roosting Acerodon.

We saw a huge group of common dolphins coming up to us by the boat. There were a couple of species around but I couldn't get a good photo of the others. At least in this one you can see the coloration on some of the ones on the right.

We were at Mambukal Resort as part of our evening activities at the 4th International Southeast Asian Bat Conference. We got rained out a bit in the evening so we were only able to net a few pteropodids in the woods near the hiking trails
